April 24: Virtual Walkthrough of Sarah Charlesworth: Image Language at Printed Matter

Friday, April 24 at 3pm ET via Zoom

Sarah Charlesworth: Image Language examines the work of New York artist Sarah Charlesworth (1947–2013). Staged at Printed Matter and with material drawn from the archives of Sarah Charlesworth, the exhibition traces elements of the artist's creative output across her formative involvement in art publications to her later camera-based projects. The show included examples from Charlesworth’s long engagement with publications, including writings, artists’ books, and material from the magazines The Fox and BOMB, as well as image research, production paste-ups, and experiments from her photographic projects. Read more.

On Friday, April 24, 3pm ET, curator Christine Robinson and Matthew C. Lange, Studio Manager of the Sarah Charlesworth Estate, will provide a virtual walkthrough of the exhibition and discuss the work of Sarah Charlesworth more broadly. A recording of the event will be available to view on this page shortly afterwards. Watch more from Printed Matter on their YouTube channel.
